British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash
Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, officials in Lagos stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on Monday, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.
Under Observation for Minor Injuries
Joshua had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on X that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.
“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.
Honoring the Deceased
The victims of the crash were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the passing of his two close friends.”
