Barça Set to Play Historic Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch in early November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt next month at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
